My True Love Gave To Me… 11 Stockings Hanging

Member Mary Natwick writes:  “These designs are from Mary Beale and are the first eleven in her series of fifteen Sampler Stockings. I started stitching them for my family in 1999 and stitch as a new member to the family arrives. Jack’s stocking was given Christmas, 2010. And #12 is on the rods for our new daughter-in-law, Elizabeth, for Christmas, 2011. Needless to say, these stockings live at my house for now.     These are just beautiful! I have always admired the Mary Beal designs with their Elizabethan influences but never got around to stitching one. Please bring one to a Guild meeting so we can see all the lovely details.
