We’re getting the word out to mid-Atlantic stitchers about an upcoming needlework show from November 5-27, 2011 at Montpelier . This is the Montpelier Mansion in Laurel, Maryland, not the “other” Montpelier, the home of James Madison in Virginia.
The theme of this year’s exhibit (the 16th annual) is “Life on the Chesapeake.” It is sponsored by the shop Stitching Pretty in Laurel.
Intake at the mansion will be on October 30th (Sunday) and October 31st (Monday). That’s more than four months to get your pieces ready for the show! We hope to see the Loudon Sampler Guild well represented.
The fee will be $5 per piece. Shops that will accept entries will be mentioned on this blog and in the LSG newsletter closer to the deadline. Later in the year, we’ll post more information about visiting the show and needlework boutique at Montpelier Mansion.
