Needle Art 2012 at Montpelier Museum in Laurel, Maryland

Stitcher and sampler enthusiasts will be interested in Needle Art 2012, taking place November 2 – 25. This is the 17th year that this mansion has been a showcase for needle art.

There will be lectures on two Wednesday evenings.  Wednesday, November 7th at 7:30 pm will be the Loudoun Sampler Guild’s own Patty Yergey from the design company Samplers Revisited.  Patty will discuss reproduction samplers: how they are found, researched, and charted.

Wednesday November 14th at 7:30 pm will be a history lecture by Gloria Allen, author and expert on antique needlework.  She will be selling and signing her new book on District of Columbia samplers as well as her book about Maryland Samplers.
