Some Unusual Needlework Ideas

There are certain motifs that stitchers use time and again:  Gardens, houses, cats, mermaids, hearts, alphabets  And certain holidays, too — Christmas, Halloween,  Valentine’s Day are rich sources of inspiration.  But a little browsing finds that there are some much more unusual designs ideas around!

The first pattern comes from an Etsy seller called Nerdy Little Stitcher. http://www.etsy.com/shop/nerdylittlestitcher?ref=seller_info

It’s heart rhythms from an EKG test.  Next to it is an example of Tatoo designs that are popping up in needlework, at Gecky Rouge: http://www.etsy.com/shop/GeckoRouge

Cross-stitch pattern: EKG arrhythmias

Fans of Curb Your Enthusiasm can stitch Larry David’s face, from Bombastitch: http://www.etsy.com/shop/bombastitch?ref=seller_info

Or if it’s Lady Gaga you follow, Kanitted has her:

She also sells charts with zombie, Star Trek and robot motifs.
