The name M. Finkel & Daughter is very familiar to sampler enthusiasts. The shop, in business in Philadelphia since 1947, is a leader in the world of historic samplers and needlework.
There will be an open house and reception at their gallery on Sunday, March 23 from 1 – 4, in connection with the exhibition and symposium at the Biggs Museum in Dover, Delaware.
If you cannot make it to Philadelphia on March 23 (or even if you can), the company’s website (www.samplings.com) provides an opportunity for both beginning and advanced collectors to acquaint themselves with the history and activities of M. Finkel & Daughter and to learn about some of its current offerings.
