LSG Field Trip to New Jersey Sampler Exhibition

A reminder to our members and friends that registrations are due August 15 for the Loudoun Sampler Guild’s field trip to the New Jersey sampler exhibition at the Morven Museum & Garden in Princeton, New Jersey.

The exhibition, opening October 3rd, is titled “Hail Specimen of Female Art! New Jersey Schoolgirl Needlework, 1726-1860,” and will be the very first comprehensive survey of New Jersey schoolgirl needlework of the 18th and 19th centuries. Featuring an astounding 151 pieces, the exhibit will include examples on loan from Winterthur, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation, and dozens of private collectors and institutions across the country.
